Jacob in Egypt

Here’s a poem I wrote about Jacob’s final days in Egypt, as described in the end of the book of Genesis. Genesis 49 is already in a poetic form in the original Hebrew, but some of that poetic effect gets lost in translastion. I plan on sharing a few others over the next few days, comments are open for feedback!

I sojourned few and evil days
So bring my bones to Isaac’s grave
